Cracked Dimension Topper

This was written in X, but should

be workable in other versions.

A tube of your choice (non-misted)

Download the Maskbicetechno05

to your Mask folder in PSP

Mask bicetechno05 HERE

Plugin Filter Alien Skin Xenofex 2 HERE

Performance Notes:

All settings will remain the same

unless otherwise noted.

Let's Begin

1  File > Open (Ctrl + O)

Open tube of choice

2  Windows > Duplicate

Close original

3  Image > Resize (Shift + S)

Settings:

Resample using = Smart Size

Lock aspect ratio = Checked

Resize all layers = Checked

Width = Will self adjust

Height = No more than 390 Pixels

4  Windows > Duplicate

Minimize for later use

5  Dropper Tool (E)

Foreground

Left click for a light color from your tube

Background

Right click for a dark color

6  Layers > New Raster Layer

7  Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom

8  Flood Fill Tool (F)

Settings:

Match mode = None

Use all layers = Unchecked

Blend Mode = Normal

Opacity = 100

9  Flood Fill with your chosen light

or dark color

10  Layers > Merge > Merge Visible

11  Edit > Copy

12  File > New

Settings:

Width = 1024, Height = 400

Raster background

Color depth = RGB - 8 bits/channel

Transparent = Checked

13  Selections > Select All

14  Edit > Paste Into Selection

15  Selections > Select None

16  Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling

Settings: 

Default

17  Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur

Settings:

20.00

18  Effects > Plugins > Xenofex > Shatter

Settings:

Piece Size = 450.81, Thickness = 10

Tumble = 30, Time = 25

Shadow Opacity = 80, Shadow Blur = 5.76

Fill with solid color = Checked ( choose

one of your chosen colors)

Random Seed = 1

19  Layers > Merge > Merge Visible

20  Layers > Load/Save Mask > 

Load Mask From Disk 

Settings:

Mask = MaskBicetechno05

Create mask from = Source luminance

Orientation = Fit to canvas

Invert transparency = Unchecked

Hide all mask = Checked

21  Layers > Merge > Merge group

22  Restore up copy of tube

23  Edit > Copy

Minimize again

24  Edit > Paste as New Layer

On your header

25  Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

Settings:

Your choice

26  Layers > New Raster Layer

27  Add your watermark

*Optional*

You may also add text if you wish

28  Image > Add Borders

Settings:

Symmetric = Unchecked

Top = 0, Left = 0, Right = 0

Bottom = 15

Color = Color not in graphic

29  Magic Wand Tool

Settings:

Mode = Replace

Match mode = RGB Value

Tolerance = 0, Use all layers = Checked

Contiguous = Checked, Feather = 0

Anti-Alias = Checked

Outside

Select your border

30  Flood Fill Tool (F)

Flood fill with your chosen light

or dark color

31  Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel

Settings:

Bevel # 2

Width = 10, Smoothness = 0

Depth = 4, Ambience = 0

Shininess = 0, Color = White

Angle = 315, Intensity = 40

Elevation = 25

32  Pick Tool

On the left edge of your border

you will see a double white arrow.

Pull the arrow to the left 

off the edge of the image.

Do the same on the right side.

This will prevent

any lines in your beveled

border when you build this

in letter creator.

33  Remove the Pick Tool by

clicking on the Pan Tool (P)

34  Layers > Merge > Merge Visible

35  Image > Canvas Size

Settings: 

Width = 1024, Height = 2000

Placement = Top Middle Arrow

36  Layers > New Raster Layer

37  Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom

38  Flood Fill Tool (F)

Flood fill with your chosen light

or dark color

*Optional*

39  Adjust > Add/Remove Noise >

Add Noise

Settings:

Uniform = Checked, Noise = 5

Monochrome = Checked

40  File > Export > JPEG Optimizer

Set compression value = 25 - 30
