Crosshatch Simplicity Topper

Needed:

PSP X

This was written in X, but should

be workable in other versions.

 

A Graphic of your choice.

 

A Bottom Edge Mask of your choice.

 

A Mask of your choice.

 

Note:

The second mask will be used

for your graphic.

 

Plugins:

AAA Filters  HERE

Brushstrokes  HERE

 

Note:

For the AAA Filter needed, Good Vibrations,

scroll down a little more than halfway and

you will see it.

 

Performance Notes:

All settings will remain the same

unless otherwise noted.

 

Let's Begin

 

1  File > Open (Ctrl + O)

Open your graphic of choice.

 

2  Window > Duplicate Twice (Shift + D)

Close original.

Minimize one copy.

 

3  Image > Resize (Shift + S)

Settings:

Resample using = Smart size

Lock aspect ratio = Unchecked

Resize all layers = Checked

Width = 1024

Height = 450 pixels

 

4  Dropper Tool (E)

Foreground

Left click for light to medium color

from your graphic.

 

5  Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur

Settings:

Radius = 20.00

 

6  Effects > Distortion Effects > Ripple

Settings:

Horizontal = 50.00, Vertical = 50.00

Amplitude = 15.00, Wavelength = 40.00

Repeat = Checked

 

7  Effects > Plugins > AAA Filters >

Good Vibrations

Settings:

Frequency = 32, Amplitude = 2

Frame Size = 0

Blinds = Checked, Normal = Checked

 

 

8  Effects > Plugins > Brushstrokes >

Crosshatch

Settings:

Stroke Length = 20, Sharpness = 6

Strength = 2

 

9  Effects > Edge Effects > Enhance

 

10  Layers > Load Mask From Disk

Load Bottom Edge Mask of choice.

Settings:

Your Choice.

 

11  Layers > Merge > Merge Group

 

12  Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

Settings:

Vertical = 2, Horizontal = 2, Opacity = 50

Blur = 5.00, Color = Black

Shadow On New Layer = Unchecked

 

13  Restore up copy of graphic.

 

14  Layers > Load Mask From Disk

Load mask of choice.

 

15  Layers > Merge > Merge Group

 

Note:

You may need to resize your

masked graphic to fit.

 

16  Edit > Copy

 

17  Make your 1024 x 450 layer active.

 

18  Edit > Paste As A New Layer

 

19  Move Tool (M)

Position in the center of your image.

 

20  Layers > New Raster Layer

Add your watermark and any

text you may wish.

 

21  Image > Canvas Size

Settings:

Lock Aspect Ratio = Unchecked

Width = 1024, Height = 2000

Top Middle Arrow = Checked

 

22  Layers > New Raster Layer

 

23  Layers > Arrange > Send To Bottom

 

24  Flood Fill Tool (F)

Settings:

Match mode = None

Use All Layers = Unchecked

Blend mode = Normal, Opacity = 100

Fill with your chosen color.

 

25  File > Export > JPEG Optimizer

Set compression value = 25 - 30
