Supplies:

PSP (I used X but any version will work

Graphic of choice

Mask of choice

Bottom edge mask of choice

VM Distortion  HERE

Simple  HERE

 

 

Performance Notes:

All settings will remain the same unless

otherwise stated

 

Let's Begin

Open Paint Shop Pro

 

1 File > Open (Crtl + O)

Your graphic of choice

 

2 Window > Duplicate (Shift + D)

Close original

 

3 Image > Resize (Shift + S)

Lock aspect ratio = Checked

Resize all layers = Checked

Resample using = Smart size

Width = Will self adjust

Height = 375 pixels

 

4 Window > Duplicate ( Shift + D)

Minimize for later use

 

5 Dropper Tool (E)

Left click on graphic for dark

color

Right click for light color

 

6 Materials Palette

Set background to gradient

Settings:

Foreground - Background

Style = Linear, Angle = 45

Repeats = 1, Invert = Checked

 

7 File > New Image

Settings:

Width = 1024

Height = 400

Raster background

Color depth = RGB 8 bits channel

Color = Transparent Checked

 

8 Flood Fill Tool (F)

Right click and flood fill with

gradient

 

9 Adjust > Add Noise

Settings:

Gaussian

Noise = 10

Monochrome = Checked

 

10 Effects > Plugin > VM Distortion

Tilomat 2000

Settings:

X-Tiles = 49, Y- Tiles = 15,

Weirdness = 58, Random Seed 1

 = 71, Random Seed 2 = 184

 

11  Effects > Plugin > Simple

Diamonds

 

12  Effects > Distortion Effects >

Spiky Halo

Settings:

Center offset = Horizontal = 3 %,

Vertical = 3%

Ray Setting = Amplitude = 70,

Frequency = 12, Radius = 20,

Wrap = Checked

 

13  Effects > Edge Effects

Enhance

 

14  Layers > Load mask from disk

Load bottom edge mask

Settings:

Create mask from

Source luminance

= Checked,

Orientation

= Fit to layer = Checked,

Invert transparency

= Unchecked,

Options = Hide all mask

= checked

 

15  Layers > Merge > Merge Group

 

16  Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

Settings:

V & H = 2, Opacity = 50,

Blur = 5, Color = Black,

Shadow on new layer = Unchecked

 

17  Restore up copy of graphic

 

18  Layers > Promote background

layer

 

19  Layers > Load mask from disk

 

20  Layers > Merge > Merge group

 

21  Edit > Copy (Ctrl + C)

 

22  Edit > Paste as new layer (Ctrl + V)

 

23  Layers > New raster layer

Add text and watermark

 

24  Image > Canvas Size

Settings:

Width = 1024

Height = 2000

Placement = Upper middle arrow

checked

 

26  Layers > New raster layer

 

27  Layers > Arrange

Send to bottom

 

28  Flood Fill Tool (F)

Flood fill with your chosen

color

 

29 File > Export > Jpeg Optimizer

Set Compression value at 25-30%
